Custom work

A fully custom cross stitch piece; see the gallery for finished examples. Includes a solid-color border.

Available: 24x24, 23x23

Pride charms

12x12 pride flags; 1.1 inches wide. Choose border color, or ask about current stock for immediate shipping.

Add single-color "outline" designs on top for +$5.

+ addons

Border: A design in additional color(s) added to the border.

Interfacing: fused to the back. Hides and protects stitching; good for pieces you don't plan to sew onto something else. Currently unavailable (next chance: May)

Shipping

I move around, so orders will be sent through either Canada Post or USPS as standard letter mail. This means I can only reach countries these services ship to by standard mail; check beforehand! Arrival is estimated as 1-2 weeks after completion.

Shipping is included in the base price.

Regardless of envelope type, the piece will be contained in a waterproof ziploc bag.

All commissions ship with a matching length of thread (usually the border color) in case you'd like to attach the piece to something. A full thread color list is available on request.

If the piece is bent in transit, press it under a heavy book for 5 minutes...

Payment & refunds

Payment is taken up front through PayPal @ paypal.me/magnoparfum after we've finalized a pattern, and before I start the embroidery phase. Prices are in American dollar (USD).

If you wish to cancel after paying, a flat 50% refund minus PayPal fees applies (full refund minus PayPal fees if the piece is at less than 5% completion). No refunds are available after a piece has been fully embroidered.

I'm not liable for a piece after it has been mailed! I've never yet lost a package, though if that happens we can work something out :-)

I reserve the right to turn down or cancel commissions for any reason - the refund policy above will apply to any cancellations.
I reserve the right to take, share and post photographs of my work at any point in the process (though I typically won't post photos of commisioned/traded work until it's received).
I reserve the right to reuse and modify the patterns I make.

Miscellaneous

What works well for cross stitch designs?: High contrast, blocks of color, stylized and geometric detail (though these are all optional!). Album covers tend to work great; text is OK but takes up a lot of space.
What doesn't work well?: Gradients, blending, similar (sometimes monotone) colors.
Can I get non-square shapes?: Sure! I don't have this listed as an addon because I need to practice / make examples, but we can discuss different shape options (keeping approximately the same number of crosses as the squares).
Interfacing is only available for purchase when it's marked as available.
I'm open to art trades with people I personally know...
